This page summarises the range of services offered by HFL, the only laboratory in the world engaged in both sports drug surveillance and contract research. HFL tests athletes and racing animals as part of forensic doping control and provides research and testing services for pharmaceutical, food, consumer products and healthcare clients, including sport supplement testing.

Sport supplement testing

For over 40 years, HFL have provided drug surveillance testing to a variety of sports, tackling complex analytical challenges to detect drug misuse in a variety of species and at low limits of detection. We also provide nutritional sport supplement testing for banned substances from raw ingredients through to final product.

Pharmaceutical contract research

HFL offers pharmaceutical contract research capabilities including analytical method development and assay development to support the development and manufacture of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products on behalf of the pharmaceutical industry.

Health and wellness testing

HFL provide an extensive health and wellness testing service. We provide testing on behalf of healthcare related research for food and nutrition, GP’s and hospitals, private, corporate and occupational health screening and consumer product testing.
