Investing in Local Energy Workshops

Climate change is a global problem with local solutions. UK100’s local leaders want to make the shift to clean energy a reality, but they need access to public and private finance.

Responding to a demand for more conversation that emerged from our National Conference in Leeds, we recently completed an ambitious green finance workshop programme in five regions across the country.

We hosted the workshops in the below regions. Click on the images to explore workshop content and presentations.

Greater South East

North East, Yorkshire and Humber

North West

South West

Each gathering brought together expertise from across the energy sector, policy experts, engineers, local leaders, developers and financiers, to hear and discuss barriers to unlocking place based green investment.

Thanks to help from BEIS, the local energy hubs, and our sponsors, we were able to tap into a wealth of regional insight that we are compiling into a report with a set of actionable recommendations for the UK Government, due to be launched early July 2020.
