Introducing: edenseven

What products or services does your company offer that can support local authorities to reach their climate targets?

What we do

At edenseven, we help councils turn their net zero ambitions into measurable progress. Our work combines a powerful carbon-management platform, cero.earth, with expert consultancy across buildings, energy, strategy, and transport (B.E.S.T.) — giving local authorities the tools and insight to cut carbon, save money, and stay on track.

Our product: cero.earth

cero.earth gives councils a complete, real-time picture of their emissions and actions across buildings, transport, energy use, and supply chains — all in one place.

It’s built specifically for the public sector, helping councils bring all their data together in one consistent format. The platform standardises carbon accounting and supports both estate-wide reporting (for council operations) and area-wide reporting across the wider community, ensuring consistency and comparability

But cero.earth is more than a carbon accounting tool — it’s a platform for planning, strategy, and collaboration. It helps councils capture their plans, shape and coordinate actions, communicate progress, and manage all sustainability information in one place.

By replacing multiple spreadsheets with intuitive dashboards, cero.earth makes it easy for officers and elected members alike to see progress, compare performance, and focus on what delivers the biggest impact. It saves time, brings consistency, and helps everyone engage with decarbonisation.

Our services: Buildings, Energy, Strategy, and Transport

Alongside cero.earth, our consultancy team provides hands-on expertise where it matters most:

  • Buildings – assessing energy use, identifying retrofit opportunities, and modelling savings.
  • Energy – supporting renewable generation, PPAs, and local grid decarbonisation.
  • Strategy – building evidence-based roadmaps, business cases, and funding models.
  • Transport – enabling fleet electrification and smarter charging infrastructure planning.

We work as partners, turning data into action, coordinating teams and delivery partners, and ensuring every project remains measurable, affordable, and aligned with wider community goals.

What sort of local authorities do you think your product or service could help?

edenseven can support all local authorities working towards net zero, whatever their size, budget, or stage on the journey.

For councils just starting out, we can work alongside your team to gather, validate, and analyse data, building a reliable carbon baseline through our cero.earth platform and expert support. This helps create a clear picture of emissions across estates, transport, and operations — the essential first step towards credible action.

For those further ahead, we can provide hands-on help to shape new projects, capture plans and projects in cero.earth, build strong business cases, and access funding to accelerate delivery.

Can you give us an example of a local authority you have worked with? What challenge were they facing, what was your intervention and what was the outcome?

A good example is our work with Peterborough City Council and Cambridgeshire County Council through the Peterborough Accelerated Net Zero (PANZ) programme, funded by Innovate UK.

Working closely with Peterborough and incorporating feedback from ten other councils of different sizes, we adapted our existing corporate carbon platform to create cero.earth for local authorities — designed around the real challenges councils face in managing and reducing emissions. Together, we developed features to standardise carbon accounting, compare performance, and map pathways to net zero.

The platform helps councils track progress in real time, saving time and effort by replacing multiple spreadsheets with one integrated system that supports accounting, actioning, strategising and communicating. Its intuitive dashboards make it easy for teams and elected members alike to engage with the data, breaking decarbonisation out of its silo.

Peterborough is now using cero.earth to manage and monitor their progress, and as neighbouring councils adopt it, data will be able to transfer seamlessly across new boundaries — keeping baselines and comparisons consistent through future local government boundary changes.

What is the cost of your support to Local authorities?

At edenseven, we want to make sure our platform and services are accessible to local authorities of all sizes. Our fees are scaled to match each council’s annual spend and the scope of work. We offer no-cost initial consultations to help councils understand where they are on their net zero journey and what support would deliver the most impact.

Prices for cero.earth include software licences and data management support. Councils can also access time-limited use of the platform at no cost, allowing teams to experience how it simplifies data gathering, tracking, and reporting before committing to a longer-term licence
