Empowering local climate leaders
UK100 develops and delivers specialist programmes that equip local leaders with the tools they need to tackle climate change effectively. From intensive leadership training to hands-on project support, our programmes transform ambition into action.Our programmes are designed by and for local government, ensuring they address the real challenges councils face in delivering climate action at pace and scale.
UK100's flagship training programme
Each autumn, the Climate Leadership Academy brings together 20 cross-party councillors from across the UK for intensive training to develop the leadership skills vital to transforming climate ambition into action.
Over three residential weekends, participants gain cutting-edge insights from experts across public, private, academic and voluntary sectors, supplemented by six months of one-to-one coaching. Since 2022, we've equipped 80 local leaders with the knowledge and connections to drive pioneering climate action. Our graduates continue to demonstrate how targeted support for local climate leaders can catalyse transformative change - from providing evidence to Parliament to winning national awards for climate leadership.
