UK100 has teamed up with the Low Traffic Future alliance and Landor LINKS for a free lunchtime webinar on Local Transport Plans (LTPs), chaired by UK100's Director of Advocacy and Engagement, Philip Glanville.
It is aimed at councillors, particularly those newly elected this year, and senior officers. LTPs have changed in recent months, and they now offer a real chance to bring transport and land-use planning together for safe and attractive streets, thriving town and city centres, lower emissions and a reliable transport system that is efficient, affordable and accessible for all.
What it will cover
Updated guidance: the government's recently updated guidance on LTPs, and on quantifying local transport carbon impacts.
The bigger picture: recent changes on devolution, planning and local oversight of public transport, including the role of outcomes frameworks.
Best practice: authorities whose LTPs set out genuinely bold ambitions to reduce motor traffic, and the measures needed to get there.
Updated guides: Low Traffic Future's refreshed summary and full LTP guides for councillors and campaigners.
