Unlocking private sector investment for retrofit

Track: Net Zero and Sustainability

  • Christopher Hammond, Chief Executive, UK100

About the summit

With government priorities accelerating around warm homes, remediation, and tackling disrepair, damp and mould, the housing sector faces a complex challenge to deliver on multiple urgent demands with limited resources.

The Warm & Safe Homes Summit convenes housing providers, tenants, the supply chain and government to explore collaborative, long-term asset management strategies, share innovative approaches, and hear the latest regulatory and funding updates — all under one roof.

This is an essential opportunity for local authority housing leaders, sustainability officers and retrofit programme managers to connect with peers, learn from best practice, and shape the future of warm, safe, energy-efficient homes across the UK.

Why this matters for UK100 members

The UK has some of the oldest and leakiest housing stock in western Europe, with buildings accounting for around 17% of the UK’s emissions. UK100’s members are at the forefront of delivering warmer, healthier homes — from pioneering retrofit programmes to leading on the Warm Homes Plan. The summit brings together the policy, practice and partnerships essential to scaling this work.
