Following local and devolved elections, new administrations have taken power in town halls and parliaments across the UK, with many pledging bold action to tackle climate change, alongside action on a long list of voter priorities. This webinar is your one-stop shop to local climate action -setting you and your team up for success in the weeks and months ahead as you move from election to action.

UK100’s 120+ members are highlighting how local climate action unlocks progress across a host of priorities, from delivering increased capacity in local NHS services, to warmer homes with cheaper bills, and safer streets with cleaner air – as set out in our 2025 flagship research, Beyond targets: the wider benefits of climate action. With a track-record of supporting local leaders, from newly-elected administrations to the most pioneering authorities in the country, join this UK100 event to hear from those who have been in your shoes, and find out how they are delivering for their communities:

  • Cllr Nick Ireland: leader of Dorset Council
  • Cllr Andy Mellen, leader of Mid Suffolk District Council
  • Louise Krupski, former cabinet member for environment, transport, and climate action at the London Borough of Lewisham
  • Cllr Richard Clewer, former leader of Wiltshire Council

If you are a newly-elected local leader, or a returning local leader making plans for the months and years ahead, join this webinar to:

  • Hear from a host of cross-party voices on how their authorities have delivered local climate action resulting in cheaper bills, warmer homes, and healthier communities with the support of UK100.
  • Learn about how you can benefit from our  programme of upcoming events, projects and networking
  • Connect with a cross-party network of local leaders, working together to design and deliver pioneering solutions for climate and communities.

This event is open to all elected members and officers at combined and local authorities, regardless of UK100 membership.
