Should Labour win power, they will be faced with a turbulent international picture, straitened economic circumstances at home and a chance to revitalise British politics. But how could Labour deliver transformative change?

The conference will examine how Labour can translate its ambitions into reality, should the party win the next election. New Statesmen will explore what key stakeholders think and what Labour’s agenda would mean for politics and people across the UK.

Join UK100 Chief Executive Christopher Hammond alongside Miatta Fahnbulleh, Labour's PPC for Peckham & Former Chief Executive, New Economics Foundation, on Tuesday 26th March 2024 in central London, to hear cross-party local authority insights on the question: How can Labour deliver its green prosperity plan in a challenging economic climate? There will be a Q&A session with the audience.

Speakers include:

  • Megan Kenyon (Chair), Policy Correspondent, New Statesman, Spotlight
  • Miatta Fahnbulleh, PPC for Peckham & Former Chief Executive, New Economics Foundation
  • Christopher Hammond, Chief Executive, UK100
  • Angela Francis, Director of Policy Solutions, WWF UK
  • Jake Tudge, Corporate Affairs Director, National Gas

Third-sector and local authority attendees can register for the conference for free. And we are encouraging cross-party UK100 members to take the opportunity to support the case for local Net Zero to the Labour front bench.
