This webinar is hosted by CSE on behalf of the Energy Learning Network, a partnership that aims to help more groups, local authorities and business launch or grow schemes that decarbonise the grid, create energy resilience, reduce energy bills, and create meaningful benefits for local people. It is intended for a local authority audience and is open to all councils and combined authorities.

The online session will showcase how the ‘Community Solar on Council Assets’ toolkit can set you up for success in your bids to the GB Energy Partnerships Grant.

The toolkit was developed through hundreds of calls with councils, exploring the challenges they face in progressing community energy internally, both technical and political barriers, and identifuing replicable solutions to every single one of them. LGR making you nervous - it’s got an answer. Procurement pathways posing a challenge - it’s got your back. Not sure how to establish a partnership with a community energy group - check out the partnership assessment framework. Don’t know how to get a decision through the different internal hoops - use the decision paper template to see you through.

The partnership behind the guide - Climate Guide, UK100 and Community Energy Pathways - will be leading this workshop to talk us through the new guide, how you can put it to normalise community energy in your council, access GB Energy funding to progress your journey, and offer collaborative activities to help you plan your next steps.
