UK100 Cities Network is expanding to take advantage of the huge year ahead as local leaders and city mayors face elections, new legislation works its way through parliament and the world focuses on the UK-hosted UN climate conference in November 2021.

Campaigns Manager

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Campaigns Manager who can use their outstanding advocacy skills to plan and execute campaigns to increase the ability of local government to tackle air pollution and address the climate emergency.

This role will involve managing the design, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of UK100’s ambitious and effective campaigns output. It will require building partnerships within the network and beyond, extending our coalition of those committed to local action on these issues and enabling effective advocacy for ambitious action to tackle air pollution and the climate emergency.

Local Government & COP26 Intern

We are looking for an enthusiastic, focused, high-performing individual to join UK100’s growing membership team as our Local Government and COP26 Intern. Someone who can use their outstanding organisational skills to help our local leaders and their staff tackle the climate emergency and reach Net Zero.

The role will support the membership team in planning events in Glasgow for COP26 for our network of locally elected leaders, business stakeholders and NGO partners.

The role will provide administrative support for a programme of work such as developing UK100’s network membership offer, coordinating UK100’s Countryside Climate Network, evolving UK100’s online Knowledge Hub and assisting with our “Local Power in Action” and our “Climate Leadership Academy” projects.

Parliament & Advocacy Intern

We are looking for a Parliament and Advocacy Intern with experience organising events and who has strong political awareness, excellent writing skills and a demonstrable interest in Net Zero, sustainable finance and air pollution.

The role will support the Parliamentary Officer in her day to day duties, which include managing the secretariats of the All Party Group on Sustainable Finance and the All Party Group on Air Pollution, and leading UK100’s parliamentary engagement.

This role is perfect for someone looking to gain experience in environmental politics and campaigning, and learn the ropes of parliamentary advocacy.
