Do you want to play a key role in supporting and enabling local leaders to advocate and implement ambitious action to tackle the climate emergency and air pollution?

UK100 Cities Network is expanding to take advantage of the huge year ahead as local leaders and city mayors face elections, new legislation works its way through parliament and the world focuses on the UK-hosted UN climate conference in November 2021.

We have vacancies for motivated, enthusiastic and skilled people to join the UK100 team.

We are currently recruiting for three roles:

Policy and Research Manager: to manage the design, delivery and evaluation of UK100's ambitious policy and research programme. This programme raises national, regional and local government action and ensures local leaders are placed at the heart of the UK’s Net Zero climate action plans.

In the role you’ll be working with others in UK100 to deliver a programme that manages research, produces briefings, communicates best practice, responds to consultations and collaborates with stakeholders to support progressive local action on Net Zero.

Political Advisor: to engage with parliamentarians and local government leaders (including metro mayors) to continue the broadening and deepening of UK100's cross-party appeal, and to deliver political influencing strategies that put the voice of local leaders at the forefront of advocacy for ambitious action on Net Zero.

In the role you’ll be providing and maintaining high quality political analysis that supports working closely with our network of local government leaders. This will be with the aim of informing and influencing political decisions on Net Zero that will have an impact for generations.

We are looking for someone with strong political connections and networks who understands government decision-making. The right candidate will have an instinct for aligning environmental issues with government priorities.
