This event has been rescheduled for 2 December out of respect for the passing of Queen Elizabeth II and the period of national mourning.

UK100 is partnering with LGA Labour to hold a one-day conference to help Labour councillors tackle climate change locally, providing them with the insight, knowledge and tools to implement successful strategies and policies.

We’ll be holding a range of workshop and plenary sessions to help councillors and their council in their journey to Net Zero and making their communities cleaner and greener. Workshops will include:

  • Housing and Net Zero
  • Delivering Net Zero transport
  • Political communications and Net Zero
  • Engaging with residents
  • Working from Opposition and using scrutiny processes
  • The cost of living crisis and Net Zero

We’ll also have plenary discussions and speeches throughout the day.

This event is suitable for all Labour councillors – including those in power or in opposition, role holders and backbenchers,

It will be held at the LGA’s offices at 18 Smith Square, London, SW1P 3HZ. We’ll start at 10.30am and finish no later than 4pm. The event will be free of charge.
