Following the launch of the Resilient Recovery Taskforce in September 2020, UK100 convened a series of workshops with local authority members and experts from the clean energy sector to share insights on local on-the-ground delivery and to identify priorities for action.
The workshops, designed to help us to shape national climate policy, covered three crucial issues: smart energy communities, the transport revolution, and heating and homes. The findings are outlined in three briefing papers.
This one sets out key policy priorities that will enable the UK to meet the challenge set by the Department for Transport in March 2020 for the UK to be an “internationally recognised leader in environmentally sustainable, low carbon technology and innovation in transport.”
